Noelle was telling me about a game that she made up, last week.

Noelle: Mom, mom, I have a game.

Me: Okay. What’s your game?

Noelle: (explains the game — which I didn’t understand)

Me: Okay.

Noelle: If you lose, you lose. If you win, you REALLY win.

Hahaha. Oh-kay. That was clear. 🙂

Danae and I were talking about our friends Alfred, Amanda and their son Keon, whose birthday we celebrated last week.

Danae: Where do they stay when they’re here, mom?

Me: In tita Amanda’s mom’s house.

Danae: Have I been there?

Me: Ummm….

Danae: Oh right right, I have. When you and tita Amanda had dinner, we picked you up and then we DELIVERED her to her house.

Haha. Just like pizza huh? Cute. 🙂

With Ptr Sonny (part two)

I was at Sunday service yesterday when King told me about Noelle asking Ptr Sonny to buy her fries. A while later, Noelle came to me with fries in hand. She stayed with me till I finished service. I stay at the back so I do not disrupt others listening to the sermon. When we went back to the office, Ptr Sonny told me details about their conversation. We were having a good laugh, then he asked Noelle…..

Ptr Sonny: Do you have your fries already, Noelle?
Noelle: Yes.
Me: Did you share your fries with Tito Sonny? You said you were going to give him.
Noelle: (about to go into King’s office to get her fries, but paused and looked at Ptr Sonny) I said buy two eh.

Hahahahaha. 🙂

With Ptr Sonny (part one)

This story was told to me by King and another pastor in church, Ptr Sonny Oaman, whom Noelle likes to bug in his office in church from time to time.

Noelle: Tito Sonny, can you ask her (maintenance staff) to buy fries for me with my money?
Sonny: Oh sure! Where’s your money?
Noelle: (shows him what she had — 2 measly pesos!) Tell her to buy two, I’ll give you one.

Hahahaha. How innocent, yet crafty. 🙂

We spent most of the day at Bonifacio High Street today. As we were walking, the girls saw a really cute puppy. Could’ve been a Maltese or any furball-like breed.

Girls: Oh cute! I want a puppy like that!
Noelle: Look, there’s another one!
Danae: Aw cute! Is that a poodle?
Me: Um, I’m not sure. It could be.
Noelle: No, that’s a sheep dog!
Me: Hahaha, Noelle, you’re so funny. (it really didn’t look like a sheep dog; Danae may have been right)
Noelle: (annoyed) No! I’m not funny! It’s a sheep dog….because it doesn’t have eyes.
Me: Haha. Sheep dogs have no eyes?
Noelle: (pouting) Yes.
Me: How can they see without their eyes?
Noelle: It’s okay. It still walks.

Hahaha. The sheep dogs she sees in movies have their eyes covered with fur, so she really believes they have no eyes! Cute! 🙂

School of Rock

King and I were out all afternoon today, getting my license renewed. When I called the house, I found out the girls were watching School of Rock without our permission. They obeyed when they were told to shut it off. Tonight, as we were getting them ready for bed, Danae came out of the bathroom singing one of Jack Black’s songs in the movie…..

“……and the legend of the (rent was) way hard corN!”

King: Hard corn?
Danae: I mean HOT CORN.

Hahaha. 🙂

Like I said previously, Noelle loves to eat bananas. What we have at home now are small ones we call Señorita.

Me: Babe, we call our bananas Señoritas, right?
King: Yes.
Noelle: (gets in my face, with a loud voice) HINDI (no)!
Me: (waiting)

Haha, don’t know how she figured out the gender of the word (if that’s what you call it), but it sure cracked me up. 🙂

Little Monkey

Noelle loves bananas, and has accepted that she is our little monkey. She was goofing around, standing by the stairs, laughing, eating her banana while her sister biked around (yes, inside our house). The first time she threw her banana peel on the ground and laughed, I told her it wasn’t funny. I asked her to pick it up. She did it a second time.

Noelle: (laughing heartily)
Me: Told you Noelle, that’s not funny.
King: (sternly) Not funny.
Noelle: (happy as ever) Yes it is! It’s so cool! (with two thumbs up!)

King fell silent. I couldn’t help it. I laughed. Hahaha. 🙂

On Fasting

The other day, on our way home, Danae mentioned something about fasting.

Danae: In January mom, I’m going to FAST EAT. (she meant fast, since our church has an annual prayer and fasting in the beginning of the year)
Me: why Nae? (we were trying to teach her that she needs to know why she is going to do something)
Noelle: (pipes in, as usual) Me, on my birthday (which is in January), I’m going to EAT FAST.

Hahahahaha. 🙂

Happy New Year everyone! More laughter, joy and love in 2013! God bless us all! 🙂

Thank you Jesus!

On Christmas day, we did our final advent wreath tradition, wherein we lit up all four candles and the center Jesus candle.

Me: Before we blow out the candles (and sing a happy birthday song to Jesus), tell me what you are thankful to Jesus for.
Danae: I’m thankful to Jesus for making the stars, the moon, the trees……
Noelle: (pipes in) AND THE FOOD….

Haha, of course we must never forget about the food. 🙂
