The Word on the Street

My girls learn a lot from watching Sesame Street podcasts, particularly those of Murray who asks around about “the word on the street.” He asks people to define a certain word in their own terms. One of the things my girls learned was the word FRAGILE.

Noelle: (talking about the Alegre guitar that my mom bought) It’s fragile, right mom?

Me: Yes, you’re right Noelle.

Dencee (my cousin): What does fragile mean, Noelle?

Noelle: Breakable.

Dencee: Wow, what does breakable mean?

Noelle: Fragile.

Haha. ‘Nuff said. 🙂

I am Phoebe Torres-Lucero, wife of a loving husband & my best friend, King, and mother to three wonderful, smart, active princesses who keep me on my toes. Phoebe means bright and radiant. Torres means towers. Lucero means light. Put together, my name speaks of a tower of bright, radiant light. And that is what I hope to be as I write and share my sari-sari stories with you. 😊
