Danae was handed the “I am PRECOCIOUS” award on graduation day last March 29, 2012.
At lunch, last week….
Danae: You know mom, one time, ********* told me “Who cares about Danae?”
Me: (sigh) You know what, some kids say mean things…..just like you sometimes. Sometimes you say mean things that you don’t really mean. ********** cares about you…
Danae: No, before he/she didn’t.
Me: Ok, but now I’m sure he/she does.
Danae: Yeah.
Me: So forgive. Ok?
Danae: (sighs) Yeah, LOVE YOUR ENEMIES.
6 years old and she’s already learning and living what I only learned when I was an adult. Precocious indeed.
